1. D'Artagnan Bars

Welcome to Anna Olson's Bake Shop Treats Series, where she teaches you how to create some of your favorite bakery bars and squares. This is a homemade version of a 3 Musketeers bar, a childhood favorite of mine. That super-sweet chocolate filling is in fact a variation on divinity, a soft and chewy meringue candy. A candy thermometer is recommended for this recipe, to ensure that the divinity candy layer achieves just the right melt-in-your-mouth result. 2. Frosted Banana Nut Bars

Welcome to Anna Olson's Bake Shop Treats Series, where she teaches you how to create some of your favorite bakery bars and squares. These bars are different than banana bread – they are sweeter and denser, slicing easily into little bites. The orange zest lends a nice nuance to the bars and the frosting dresses them up a bit. 3. Peanut Butter Blondies

Welcome to Anna Olson's Bake Shop Treats Series, where she teaches you how to create some of your favorite bakery bars and squares. Blondies earn their name because they showcase white chocolate, or even no chocolate at all. This peanut butter version is chewy and moist, but not over-the-top sweet. 5. Tangy Lemon Squares

Welcome to Anna Olson's Bake Shop Treats Series, where she teaches you how to create some of your favorite bakery bars and squares. Cream cheese is the real secret behind these lemon squares – they lend richness but also a tang that enhances the tart lemon. It also gives the lemon filling structure, so that it doesn’t leak into or underneath the shortbread base. Making them in a food processor also keeps the work time to a minimum. Whether you’re cutting out classic Christmas shapes, or want to make custom cookies for a baby shower, Valentine’s Day, or a birthday party, this no-frills sugar cookie recipe is all you need. If you want, make the dough ahead of time and keep it in the fridge, or freeze it until you’re ready to use it. Unlike many sweets that go stale after a day, these baked cookies stay fresh up to 4 days in a sealed container, even with the icing, so they’re ideal for shipping as a gift or serving on a cookie plate, and you can make them with basic pantry ingredients.

8. Thanksgiving Pumpkin Crumble Cake

Pumpkin Crumble Cake Recipe combines the best of pumpkin pie with cake. This is the perfect Thanksgiving Holiday dessert. Pumpkin crumble cake is sort of a pumpkin pie and a pumpkin cake in one. I like to use Betty Crocker Super moist Yellow Cake Mix for this recipe. This cake has all the yummy flavors of a pumpkin pie but the heartiness of a cake. It's the perfect dessert to have during the holidays or bring to a holiday party. It's fast an easy and always a crowd pleaser. It was featured recently on the Betty Crocker Facebook Fan Page! I got this recipe from a friend years ago when she made it for a potluck dinner. I modified it a little over the years. I think it is the right combination of pie and cake. Enjoy!
