Hi,

I love all vegetables and vegetable dishes, I'm literally a vegetable maniac :) So I'm constantly looking for a new recipes of the dishes and has recently been very inspired by the idea of spaghetti from different vegetables. For this purpose it is necessary to julienne vegetables. It's uncomfortable to make it with a knife, so I'm looking for a good julienne peeler. I was advised to choose from these models on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Kuhn-Rikon-Julienne-Protector-Stainless/dp/B0000CEWJD/

Maybe some of you already use something similar? What are the benefits, what are the disadvantages? I would be grateful for your help!

Hi Maddy Thomson - love that you describe yourself as a "vegetable maniac"! And the idea of spaghetti from vege's sounds so fun! I'll be watching this string to see what the reco's are. We should invite @Leah Putnam into this thread -- she's the Grokker expert on raw vegan and has a great zuchinni pasta video class....

Hi @Maddy, I love to make my noodles out of vegys too. My favorite tool for the job is called the Spirooli Spiral Slicer. It's probably a little more money outlay than a peeler but well worth the investment. You will be amazed at how quickly it turns your favortie vegys into pasta plus it's easy to use and clean. If you would like to see it in action check out my video on "Raw Vegan Zucchini Pasta with Basil Pesto". Happy vegging!

Hehe. Ive been in this same quest for about 3 years.
Heres whatcha need: The no-brand thai vietnamese shredder. About $3 at your local asian grocer (buy 2 theyre flimsy). You'll see these on the streets of Chaingmai and Bangkok where they turn out piles of perfectly shredded green papaya to feed my spicy salad addiction.

Hi Sage,

Thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to bay me that vietnamse shreder. Until now I'm using the Rosel JP (http://www.juliennepeeler.info/rosle-julienne-peeler-review/) The bigist problem with these peelers are the lack of speed. Hope the shreder speeds up things.

Davy Agten how did your quest go? I'd love to know what you ended up with and how it works. Always looking to improve my shredding.
