Garlic is a go to flavoring in many recipes, but is there a good substitute for people who are alergic to garlic? Any advice?
Hi Bertha Thomas. If you're looking for a similar flavor to garlic, there's not a great substitute. If you can tolerate them, onions or chives can add a nice flavor to dishes that call for garlic. I've also heard that celery, fennel, cumin, or ginger can add a bit of flavor when substituted for garlic.
