1 tsp dried yeast
2 cups (250g) flour
1 tsp sugar
3 tsp olive oil
red onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic
1 & 1/2 cups (400g) chopped tomatoes
1. Combine 1 tsp dried yeast with some warm water. Place the flour into a bowl. Add 1 tsp of sugar to the yeast.
2. Add 3 tbsp of olive oil to a pan and heat. Add some chopped onion, then add garlic a few minutes later. Add the chopped tomatoes. Place a stick blender into the mixture and mix. Turn the temperature down to a simmer.
3. Add a pinch of salt to the flour in your bowl. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl. Crack in 1 egg. Mix well. Knead the dough until you have a nice, consistent texture. Then roll out the dough using a rolling pin/tube of cling film.
4. Layer the tomato sauce onto the base evenly. Scatter mozzarella all over the pizza. Place in a woodfire oven for 1-2 minutes until cooked.
