Hi Mynx. Change will not occur unless YOU make the change. What was the cause for you to be 300lbs? Is there an underlying medical reason? Answer these retorical questions for yourself and that will give you base to start from. Do make the effort to see a personal trainer to ensure that you have the correct form to do these exercises, or you may risk injury and that is a set back that you can not afford. There is some great advice on Grokker. Try Ellen Barrett's walking exercises. View Chris Mohr nutritional advice.
Remember this is YOUR life and you only get one shot at it. Grokker is a great starting point as there are many people willing to help you along your journey.
To see how far you have come, take a photo of yourself now (and no you dont have to show anyone), note down your measurements (hips, waist, thighs and arms) and note your clothing size. Once you begin this journey, wait 3 months and take another photo and note your measurements and your clothing size. Please, please don't become obsessed with the scales.

Hi Mynx Mayhew. Welcome to Grokker! With the inability to get to the gym regularly, I think you will find Grokker to be a huge help. The benefit is that you can workout at home, when convenient for you, and you can find a variety of workouts that fit into your needs based on time and intensity.

I highly recommend you join a program. Programs offer a guided list of scheduled workouts and take the guesswork out of what to do on which day. In addition to working on fitness, you may want to consider watching some of our videos on nutrition.

Thanked by Mynx
