Why am I not seeing the results I want even though I'm working out and eating right? Is there something else I should be doing?

Hi Raven Claw. When you say you are not seeing the results you want, what results are you referring to? Are you not seeing a change in weight, lose of fat, muscle gain, etc? Because you mentioned working out and eating, I'm going to assume you are referring to not losing weight in spite of these efforts.

From personal experience, there is so much that goes into weight loss. And as I get older, the things that used to work, no longer work.

Here are some tips for working out:
1. Vary your workout routine. Our bodies get used to and adjust if we do the same thing over and over, even if it's a tough workout.
2. Add some HIIT workouts into your routine. These quick bursts of energy help burn calories quicker while working out. Plus, these routines have the ability to increase your metabolic rate for hours after exercise
3. Incorporate weight training to build muscle (building more muscle increases your metabolism, helping you burn more calories around the clock )

Diet:
1. Read the labels and avoid added sugars (take a look at Sue Mah's program on this. You may be surprised on how often sugars are added.)
2. Focus on eating non-processed foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables
3. Make sure you are eating enough protein in all meals. This will help you feel full throughout the day and help you to avoid snacking.

For me, I really needed to focus on changing my diet. Reading labels and avoiding sugars and carbs has really helped.
