It is an easy but effective way to remind yourself to be conscious in the now, not worrying about the past or feeling anxious about the future. In this session, Julie will explain how she practices mindful tea drinking and shares her special happy tea tonic recipe.
3. Leadership Lesson
Increased self-awareness, self-knowledge, empathy, and compassion all play a vital role in the modern-day leader’s toolkit. This exercise will help you to be more mindful of your leadership style by asking you to consider your key values, personal strengths, and weaknesses. Through this awareness you will be able to lead with a stronger sense of confidence in yourself. Take 5 minutes to write down the questions posed in this video and allow yourself 25 minutes to complete your responses. If it takes you longer then no worries. Spend as much time as you like.
4. Confidence Affirmations
This exercise is all about changing our conscious and subconscious mind through confidence affirmations. Our confidence levels are not increased overnight, it takes consistent daily practice to make a real change so it is recommended that you complete this exercise once a day for the next 30 Days to experience real transformation. This exercise can be carried out anytime and anywhere you feel relaxed, safe and comfortable.
5. Mindful Communication
Effective communication is the key to personal and career success. A mindful approach to communication requires us to listen, speak, and act with compassion, kindness, curiosity, and awareness. In this session Alister will share some simple mindful measures you can take to help you communicate more effectively with others at work and at home.
6. Productivity Exercise
A clear, calm mind gives us the capacity to focus, think and act productively. In this exercise you will clear the space inside your head and around you before setting an intention for your day. Join Alister for this calming meditation that will allow you to think with clarity. You can be sitting or standing up for this exercise, just make sure your back is straight and you can relax your shoulders.
7. Conflict Resolution
Conflict rarely resolves itself – in fact, conflict will usually escalate if not dealt with proactively. It is not at all uncommon to see a trivial situation snowball into a monumental problem if not resolved early on.So how can we improve our ability to resolve conflict in daily life at work and home? In this session Alister will share some practical mindfulness tools that can help us refocus our attention from the conflict itself to a focus on finding solutions.
8. Time Management Lesson
Time management is all about making your time work for you rather than against you. To create more time freedom in our days and lives, we have to learn to eliminate and focus.In this exercise we will focus on learning to let go of un-important tasks so we can focus on those that will make a positive impact on your life.
9. Conflict Resolution Exercise
In this exercise, you will learn to connect your thoughts with your heart, rather than your head, during times of tension and conflict with others. In this mindful practice you will learn to recognize the triggers in your body that cause you to become agitated and stressed by confrontation and conflict. Practice this exercise as often as you feel you need.
10. Body Awareness: 5-Minute Relaxation Technique
For times when you are feeling a little overwhelmed or anxious, this five minute body awareness exercise will bring you back to the present moment and free you from stressful thoughts. This relaxation exercise can be done at any time of day and is most effective when you sit in a chair with your feet firmly on the floor; but find the most comfortable seated position that works for you. Give yourself this little break to feel calm, happy and balanced.
