Can you recommend videos to help me cope with a child who has anxiety and oppositional defiant disorder?

How old is the child? Any of the child videos would help you get a start. But it would be best to do it in small steps. You may want to try the I do, We do, You do method, like many teachers do. In this method, you would model a small portion first. Maybe just breathing several breaths. (Depending on the age). Then you would do it together. Simultaneously. Then you would have him/her do it. You can do this before bed time if he/she is your child. Or when he/she comes into the classroom if he/she is a student. After he/she gets the hang of it, then you can move on to breathing and arm extensions/stretches. Again, model three. Do three together. Then have him/her do three. Do this before bed time for a few days. Then ask, how did that make you feel? This could be a way of stopping escalation, starting a difficult chore, etc. Just an idea. Good luck! Bev
