Hi lovely lady! Weight loss is pounded over our heads a million times over, and the media's thin ideal normalizes this behavior. My advice? Smash the scale, find a form of movement that you love, focus on feeding yourself in a way that tastes and feels good for your uniquely beautiful body, and surround yourself with people who love you. Honestly, your body is the least interesting thing about you. Try reading books like Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, Health at Every Size by Linda Bacon, or Embody by Connie Sobczak. Listen to podcasts like Christy Harrison's Food Psych or Daria Matza's the Every Body Podcast. Weight loss attempts fail 98% of the time, and the perpetuate disordered relationship with food/body, lower self-esteem, etc. You're worth so much more than that. Rooting for you!! xo
