Quality Assurance Analyst

Grokker is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our product/engineering group to ensure that our frequent software releases are of the highest quality. As new features are designed and built, this person will support engineering by ensuring that the features work well and do not cause problems elsewhere in the platform. This person is also the champion of the Grokker user and is expected to advocate for good user experiences and design, and to bring up any issues with the product and engineering teams to make sure that our services are as easy to use and inspirational as possible.

Grokker supports quite a few platforms--web, Android, iOS (and Apple Watch), Roku, Apple TV, and some web interfaces used by other systems. We do this with a small engineering team, and so testing is a critical element to our success. There is nothing more important to us than building a long-term sustainable set of apps that our users love, so our QA person is a central person in the organization.

About You

You're a black-box tester who has a curiosity about technical systems and a knack for knowing how other people think; you use that to both think as "regular users" think and also to guess where to poke for flaws in developers' code. You are looking to take the next step in your QA career by being the sole tester responsible for an entire team (don't worry, we have your back!). If you can do some scripting and can automate some of the web or mobile testing there's a good chance you'll impress us.

Must-Haves
  • QA experience at another internet software/services company for 3+ years
  • some knowledge and interest about how the Internet, WWW, HTML, and Javascript work
  • desire to learn, to improve yourself, and to help the people around you improve
  • desire to work with software developers to jointly ensure quality software
  • desire to work with product, customer service, enterprise sales, CEO, etc. etc. as the central person to receive bug reports in the company
  • desire to work in a collaborative environment where we help each other to succeed
We also look for
  • excellent knowledge of proper grammar and spelling
  • passion about yoga, fitness, meditation, healthy eating, or overall wellness
Compensation/Benefits
  • Salary
  • Stock options
  • Full medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Employee deferral 401 (k) plan
  • Free access to Grokker
