Client Success Manager

We are looking for an all-star Client Success Manager to assist our clients in achieving the highest levels of success. The CSM will serve as the main contact for clients within their portfolio and will be responsible for becoming their trusted advisor on strategy and execution.

A day in the life of a Client Success Manager
  • Develop individual client success plans and coordinate efforts to deliver on plan.
  • Own all aspects of client relationship including implementation, strategy, execution, employee communications, user adoption, client satisfaction and renewals.
  • Organize and lead effective customer interactions including weekly meetings, on site launch events, client business reviews and product demos.
  • Draft custom marketing language for client launches, challenges, blog posts, and special events.
  • Serve as a Project Manager on internal implementations and client initiatives.
  • Develop deep product knowledge with the ability to lead strategic conversations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage and execute on backend tasks (i.e., you’re not only the face of Grokker to our clients, but also the behind the scenes client support).
  • Staff client events and wellness fairs (occasional weekday travel).
To be successful in this role, you must:
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do approach: someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get it done.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with all types of people, and demonstrated track record of managing successful client relationships.
  • Confident troubleshooting client issues with the ability to manage strategic conversations and come up with energizing and creative win-win solutions.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. You are comfortable getting up in front of employees and c-suite executives, and can energize and inspire your audience.
  • Ability to analyze reports and provide data insights to clients and internal leadership team.
  • Comfortable being accountable for the success of your book of clients: improving employee utilization, delivering client QBRs, and renewing + upselling accounts.
  • Adept at Powerpoint for external client presentations, such as quarterly business reviews.
  • Strong leadership skills, sense of ownership and confidence.
  • Experience and confidence drafting written and design based marketing pieces when needed.
Qualifications
  • 4 Year Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree.
  • 2-4 years successful experience in a customer facing role.

Video Production Specialist -- San Francisco Bay Area

We are looking for an all-star Video Production Specialist to play a key role in Grokker’s fast-paced and growing business. If you’re inspired by the Grokker story, great at what you do and looking for a place where you’ll be valued, challenged, and inspired every day, then we want to talk with you.

About You

You’re a storytelling master that relishes wearing many hats and ready to jump into any stage of production at a moment’s notice. You work closely with the Head of Video Production and Content Managers to produce beautiful, engaging, and educational lifestyle content. You lead by example, get the job done on budget with zeal, seek the creative path, and work well with teammates.

Must-Haves
  • 3+ years industry experience
  • Thorough technical knowledge of video production, filming techniques and equipment (DSLR video shooting, composition, lighting, multi-cam setups, audio, and media management)
  • Experience in photo and video editing (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere)
  • Experience with food and lifestyle photography and videography
  • Excellent storytelling sensibility
  • Strong communication skills to direct and coach on-camera talent as well as lead and manage a small production crew
  • Ability to give and receive constructive creative direction and feedback
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver to bring new ideas and identify opportunities for improvement in production processes
  • Ready to own and take pride in the quality of their work, eager to learn and grow
  • Detail-oriented and organized with proven ability to self-manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours. Our office is located in San Jose, but have shoots throughout the Bay Area and occasionally on weekends

Backend Engineer -- San Francisco Bay Area

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help us grow our client/server platform for web and mobile users by creating high-performance distributed back-end systems. If you care about fitness, yoga, mindfulness, or eating well and want to blend your passion with your work then Grokker is the place to be.

Grokker's site and apps are built using the following technologies:

  • JavaScript with Node.js for our server infrastructure
  • MongoDB
  • React Native for mobile platforms
  • Native languages for TV platforms (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV)

We develop using an iterative approach, though we are not dogmatic about methodology. Everyone in the company is responsible for coming up with great ideas that will become part of our product. Don't expect to be handed a spec and go off and build it for months; instead, we establish our goals together and support each other to reach them one piece at a time.

We believe in good code quality and building for the long term. We enforce coding standards and have regular code review sessions in order to maintain quality, share knowledge, and reduce duplication of effort.

About You
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or relevant software development experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to understand systems at varying levels of abstraction
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration
  • Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Good understanding of security and networking/routing/firewalls
  • Experience with web applications, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and distributed systems
  • Experience with Node.js or traditional web server scripting languages a plus
  • Experience with building microservices, and data services and pipelines
  • Experience with Docker or other container technologies a plus
  • Experience with setting up internal systems using open source projects
  • Passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well

You enjoy prospecting, working your hard-earned connections as well as following up on marketing generated leads.

Must-Haves
  • Sales executive with 3 to 6 years achieving and exceeding territory quotas
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong initiative and creativity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Strategic and solution sales capabilities that support selling to C-level
  • Knowledge of SaaS B2B software sales and CRM
