Grokker was founded in 2012 by mother, yogini, and internet veteran Lorna Borenstein to help, guide, and inspire individuals to “Be a Better You.” Lorna began her career launching eBay Canada out of her guestroom with a newborn in tow. After 20 years in high-profile roles at eBay, HP, Yahoo!, and Move, Inc., Lorna challenged long-held beliefs about business culture and wellness, and decided to start her own company focused on pursuing your best self, Grokker.
In Robert Heinlen’s classic novel, Stranger in a Strange Land, to Grok means to “understand something so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed.”
Grokker is about breaking down the barrier between the expert and the enthusiast – transforming both through this connection.
