Vineet trained as a chef at Mumbai's prestigous Oberoi Hotel before immigrating to the UK. At Zaika, in London's Kensington he become Europe's first chef of Indian Cusine to be awarded a Michelin star. Vineet beleives in maintaining an authenticity in his Indian Cuisine. Nevertheless, he is always looking to progress his cooking by creating subtle and intelligent dishes, borrowing from European techniques or marrying age old Indian methods with foreign flavours and ingredients. Rasoi in Chelsea was Vineet's first solo venture and since opening in 2004 he has grown from strength to strength, winning Michelin acclaim at his restaurants in London and Geneva.
