Dana began her role as a Group Fitness Coordinator at an early age of 16. She became passionate about fitness after losing 15lbs in less than a year from participating in fun classes like cardio kickboxing, step n’ sculpt, and circuit training.
Dana studied Exercise Science and Health and Education at Bowling Green State University. Upon graduation, she began her masters in public health studies at the Northwest Consortium for Public Health in Ohio.
Dana’s career began with working with college students to explore health and wellness programs at a university level. She then worked for 4 years as the Assistant Director for Fitness and Wellness at Loyola Marymount University and eventually transitioned to managing Revolution Fitness Studio in Santa Monica and teaching and training on the side.
Currently you can find Dana training and teaching group ex for a wide array of classes in the Los Angeles area. She is inspired to explore emerging research in exercise industry and continually strives to adapt her training modalities to meet the needs of the populations that she serves.
In a nutshell, Dana believes in a holistic approach that starts with an intrinsic assessment and moves to an external exploration of change. In order to reach a specific goal one has to know why they are motivated to achieve this goal and then the planning stages can follow.
