You're not alone. I think it's a common thing to get nervous when talking to people. Think about why you're getting nervous when talking to people. It seems like there must be a lot at stake. Maybe you're anticipating an unfavorable outcome like rejection or some other unfavorable response. Try practicing while you're out in the world, and look for the positives. Make conversations with the bank teller, the bagger at the grocery store, the person walking the dog. Or, go somewhere where people have common interests and talk to people there. Remember that there are difficult people in the world who won't be nice, but that is their problem. Concentrate on looking for the enjoyable conversations and people who are out there.
