1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup unseasoned rice vinegar
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 & 1/2 cups water
Grind the garlic in a mortar and pestle. Add sugar and continue pounding until pasty. Add a few drops of the rice vinegar to help if needed. Transfer the sugar garlic paste into a larger bowl, and add the fish sauce, rice vinegar, and water. Mix well until the sugar dissolves and let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy with the Vietnamese Crepe or Noodle Salad, etc!
