Lewis Nguyen's speciality is Vietnamese cuisine and he's a firm believer that "life is too short for bad food". He was born in Saigon, grew up in the Vietnamese community in Sydney, and now resides in London. Lewis began cooking when he was 7 years old. His food obsessed parents were always in their family restaurant where he worked as a waiter from a very young age.
With their parents always being at the restaurant, Lewis and his siblings were in charge of cooking their own meals at home. Vietnamese food was such a big part of Lewis childhood; it's only natural that it continues to be an important part of his adulthood. Living in London, where Vietnamese food isn't that well known, has fueled Lewis' desire to spread the wonders of Vietnamese cooking. He is keen to dispel the myth that Vietnamese food is complicated and wants everyone to try and to love cooking Vietnamese food at home. Nothing makes Lewis happier than to have his friends and loved ones thoroughly enjoying the Vietnamese dishes he cooks for them.READ FULL BIO
