Moist Turkey Burger

Turkey Burgers show up everywhere, at fast food restaurants, at diners, at those "gourmet" burger joints popping up all over the place. One of the most common pitfalls of turkey burgers is, of course, that they're dry. Really dry. Sahara Desert in the summer dry. We experimented and figured out how to make a moist, juicy turkey burger with a superfoods kick.

Cooking Recipe

3/4 pound ground turkey
1 zucchini, grated
1 carrot, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp dried thyme
¼ red onion, minced
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 large egg
1 tbsp olive oil

Whole Wheat English Muffins (Toasted)
Tomato, sliced
SuperSauce (recipe Follows)
¼ cup yogurt
zest of one lemon
2 tbsp minced dill
1 grated clove garlic
1 tsp sriracha
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

1. First, make the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients. Taste, season, keep cold until needed.

2. Next, make the burgers. Combine turkey, zucchini, carrot, garlic, thyme, and the onion.

3. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, salt, and pepper. Drizzle into turkey mixture. Mix until just combined. Form into 4 patties.

4. Cook in skillet with olive oil until cooked through. Transfer to English muffins. Top with sliced tomatoes and sauce
