Ingredients:
Ribs
3 pounds of kalbi, Korean Style ribs
Marinade:
1 cup soy sauce
â…“ cup sesame oil
â…“ cup mirin
¼ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
½ Asian pear grated on a microplane
3 thinly-sliced green onions (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients into a large bowl. Mix together. In a large slider plastic bag, place all of the ribs. Pour the marinade in the bag with the ribs. Place the bag into the refrigerator to marinate overnight.
Grilling:
1. Set your grill temperature or bring it up to 450°F-550°F.
2. Remove the marinated ribs from the bag and place on a very hot grill. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked throughout. Once cooked, remove from the heat and let rest 2-3 minutes before serving.
3. Garnish with thinly-sliced green onions and you are ready to serve.
Tip:
Use ice cubes on the hot spots of the grill keep the flames down; using water creates more smoke.
