Moroccan Cucumber Salad

The hot summer days are back, and we all need refreshing dishes to cool us down! This Moroccan cucumber salad is the perfect appetizer for your summer menu. The juice, flavor, and texture of cucumber contains all the refreshing ingredients that we need! This salad can be made 'salty' or 'sweet', and you can also add chopped iceberg lettuce to it. You are going to love it!

Cooking Recipe

Servings: 2
Cook Time: 0
Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
The Salty Version
1 cucumber
Juice of a ½ a lemon
Fresh thyme
1 tsp – olive oil
Salt and Pepper
The Sweet Version
1 cucumber
1/4 cup – orange juice
Sugar to taste
1/4 tsp – orange blossom water

Directions:
Recipe 1 – The Salty Version
1. Peel cucumber, grate using medium sized grater, add rest of ingredients to grated cucumber (lemon juice, fresh thyme, olive oil, salt and pepper) and remove leaves from thyme branch.

2. Add salt and pepper and serve cold.

Note: you can adjust all the ingredients to your taste.

Recipe 2 – The Sweet Version
1. Peel cucumber, grate cucumber, mix rest of ingredients with grated cucumber (orange juice, sugar, orange blossom water).

2. If you would like to add more texture to the salad, you can add chopped iceberg lettuce to the cucumber. Serve Cucumber Salad cold
