Ingredients:
1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
2 tsp to 1 tablespoon steak seasoning blend (Montreal steak seasoning)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small red bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cups tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
4 crusty rolls, split, toasted, and lightly buttered
Directions:
1. Brown the meat, add steak seasoning & brown sugar, add onions, peppers red wine vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Lower heat to medium and cook 5 minutes.
2. Add tomato sauce and paste to mixture. lower heat to low and cook 5 minutes.
toast bottom of bun. Add Sloppy Joe mix onto toasted bottom then put on the top of bun. Enjoy.
