Turkish Grated Carrot & Yogurt Salad

Learn how to make a typical salad from Turkish cuisine, using sautéed carrots and yogurt. This dish is a great accompaniment to grilled meats, barbecue, fish, quiche and also makes a great dip with crusty French bread. Executive Chef Geoff Rigby shares his favorite salad in this Grokker Premium video.

Cooking Recipe

2 cups (300g) of grated carrot
2 tbsp olive oil
½ cup (100g) of yogurt
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 handful flat-leaf parsley, chopped
Pinch of sea salt

1. Pre-heat a frying pan and pour in 2 olive oil.

2. Into this, place 2 cups (300g) of grated carrot.

3. Cook until the carrot dulls slightly (approx.15 mins, stirring all the time).

4. Remove from the heat and cool completely.

5. Once cool, stir in ½ cup (100g) of natural yogurt, 1 chopped clove of garlic, sea salt and ground white pepper and a handful of chopped flat-leaf parsley.
