Want to learn how to flambé bananas in rum and brown sugar for a delicious dessert, served warm with homemade crepes and chocolate ice cream? This Grokker Premium video shows you a recipe for Banana crepes. A modern twist on this traditional New Orleans favorite that will have your guests clamoring for more.

Cooking Recipe

Serves: 4

Ingredients:
8 crepes (prepared according to Chef Emily's https://grokker.com/cooking/video/how-to-make-crepes/50f49a61240fd4f05d0000e1)
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dark rum
2 bananas, sliced on the diagonal into 1/4-1/2 inch slices
4 scoops milk chocolate or chocolate ice cream

Directions:
1. Fold 8 crepes into quarters and place two on each plate. Then peel and slice your bananas. Slice them on a diagonal angle. Melt butter in large pan over medium low heat. Add brown sugar and cook, stirring until sugar is melted.

2. Add the bananas and cook for 1 minute. Add the rum and cook for 1-2 minutes more until the bananas are warmed through. Don€t cook so much that they fall apart.

3. Put a scoop of ice cream on top of each of the crepes. Spoon sauce and bananas over the ice cream and crepes. Serve immediately.

Enjoy!
