In honor of the 4th of July, Cheffie takes a classic American favorite and adds a melting pot Mexican twist. These sweet and savory mix-and-match rolls of pie goodness are the perfect small dessert item for a barbecue or house party. Easy to make and easy to eat this simple recipe involves a tortilla, apple pie filling, butter, sugar, caramel, and cinnamon. Who knew six easy ingredients could bang out such a wacky but amazing dessert recipe in just around an hour! All you need is a pan, an oven, and a dream.

Cooking Recipe

Ingredients:
6"-9" tortillas
20 oz apple pie filling
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
caramel
cinnamon
1/2 cup water
cool whip

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Take your tortillas and place 2-3 scoops of the apple pie filling in the center. Sprinkle cinnamon. Fold the enchiladas. Place them in a non-stick pan. Make as many as you want.

3. In a medium heated pan add cup butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water. Bring it to a boil. Once it is boiled pour it on the enchiladas and let it marinate for 45 minutes.

4. Bake it for 20 minutes. Once done spread cool whip and drizzle caramel on top, and finish with a sprinkle of more cinnamon.
