Runners are always looking for effective ways of taking care of their bodies and practicing yoga is a proven way for runners to prevent injuries. Running can be particularly hard on your knees, back and ankles and there are a number of specific yoga poses that can help relieve the strain placed on these muscles, increase your functional strength and flexibility. By helping you to train your breathing yoga can also help you to increase your oxygen intake whilst running.
